LOCAL GOVERNMENT BY ELECTIONS RESULTS

The New South Wales Electoral Commission By-Election Virtual Tally Room contains election results for the 3 Local Government By-Elections held on 29 November 2008.
These 3 By-Elections are being held to fill remaining vacancies for Councillor positions following the Local Government ordinary elections held in September 2008.
These vacancies relate to areas where there were insufficient nominations received.
The number of vacancies in each area are: |

| WARREN – A Ward | 1 vacancy | |
| WELLINGTON | 2 vacancies |
The voting method for all 3 elections is Optional Preferential. (Refer to Schedule 4 of the Local Government (General) Regulation 2005)
The successful candidates will hold office for the balance of the original 4 year term.
