NSW STATE BY-ELECTION RESULTS

The New South Wales Electoral Commission By-Election Virtual Tally Room contains election results for the 4 By-Elections held for the Legislative Assembly on 18 October 2008.

The NSW Legislative Assembly consists of 93 electoral districts. A member is elected for a maximum of 4 years. Electors in a district vote for one member to represent them in the Legislative Assembly.

These 4 By-Elections are being held to fill vacancies arising from the resignation of the respective members who were elected at the State General Election in March 2007, and the successful candidates will hold office for the balance of the original 4 year term.
